As Wedding Photographers, London presents us with a wide range of different options and challenges and as we are based just outside the city we are frequently asked how we cope with the unique demands of a city shoot.

Well the truth of the matter is that photographing in London is much the same as photographing anywhere else, you've just got different things to work with!

A good professional wedding photographer will always make the most of the surroundings, making full use of whatever backgrounds and features the wedding setting has, be that towering tree's or indeed skyscrapers, rolling hills or impressive sculptures!

Being based in Hampshire, we do spend a lot of time at wedding venues with incredible grounds and views, however with the good old English weather you may not be surprised to learn how frequently weddings are constrained to the inside of the venue!
Sometimes that means photographing within an elegant marquee or converted barn, occasionally a hotel suite or grand rooms within an amazing mansion house and each represents a different set of challenges for your photographer!

There are things that can really change the type of photography possible, lighting, space and building features vary from venue to venue. From the plentiful to the limited, the impact on the type of photography possible can be profound!

Incredible cityscapes and dramatic features such as the London Eye, the Gherkin or the Houses of Parliament lend a slightly surreal touch to your wedding photographs and if you are within a distance of them for your big day, can be great fun and truly memorable, so definitely worth it!

Otherwise simply enjoy the sheer quality of the wedding venues in London as they are amazing! Having had plenty of experience with both English weather and Christmas weddings, photographing indoors is no issue and often encourages our more creative streak to run riot and brings out some of our favourite and most dramatic, visually stunning images!

That said, its all too easy to forget that there are plenty of wedding venues in London that maintain incredible grounds, giving you the best of both worlds!
