When we relocated to Hook, we were simply blown away by the quality of Wedding Venues in this area of Hampshire. Wedding Photography is always a pleasure when wedding venues in Hampshire are as grand as Heckfield Place!
Grand is often used too freely, but believe us when we tell you how beautiful the grounds of Heckfield Place are, make no mistake this is an exceptional wedding venue in Hampshire! Heckfield Place itself dates back to the 18th century as a beautiful manor house in Hampshire, now used as an exclusive hire wedding venue!
The Heckfield Place Manor House wedding venue, is situated in 65 acres (yes, you read that right, SIXTY FIVE ACRES!!) of truly spectacular parkland and includes two large lakes! The main lake can be viewed from the rear terrace and is highlighted by an impressive 60 foot fountain! As wedding photographers, we always remember to pack the zoom lens here!
The Heckfield Place grounds include a lovely walled garden and courtyard all which are bordered by Hampshire’s fine natural woodland.
You might think that much of the Heckfield Place grounds would be completely overlooked during a wedding day, but in our experience it is quite the contrary. If you are fortunate enough to have good weather, then both you and your wedding guests will be blown away by the views on offer!
In order to ensure that you benefit from the fine grounds of Heckfield Place, the staff will make a golf buggy available to you! This can allow us to whisk you away from your party for a few breathtaking wedding photographs.
You can imagine how much fun (and amazing wedding photographs!) can be had with a golf buggy, a bride, a groom and a sense of fun & adventure!
The wedding photography opportunities on offer at this wedding venue in Hampshire are a wedding photographers dream!
From wedding photography on the Heckfield Place terrace, to the forest, to the bridges of the upper or lower lakes, perhaps the islands or even enjoying a cheeky strawberry from the walled garden, the opportunities are endless and allow every wedding that we photograph to be unique!
Heckfield Place is a licensed venue allowing civil ceremonies to be held in one of five rooms, catering for wedding parties large or small, with a capacity of between 50 and 100 guests depending on which of the rooms you opt for.
If you are staying in the Heckfield Place in advance of your wedding day, you should take a (long!) walk around the grounds to take it all in and identify your very own “hot spots”. We love working with our wedding couples to capture your own personalities and create unique wedding photos that make you smile every time you see them!
With Heckfield Place residing in Hook, Hampshire and therefore very much in the UK, weather can be a concern for couples considering this as a wedding venue.
With such breathtaking grounds, it is always a shame if it does rain on the day. Fortunately rain very rarely sets in permanently and it is highly unlikely that we wouldn’t have any opportunities to take wedding photographs outside.
Even if the weather did prevent this, Heckfield Place has plenty more ‘dry’ wedding photography opportunities!
The Heckfield Place Manor House Hotel offers a good number of wedding photography opportunities with many focal points from the staircase, to the fireplaces and (incredibly comfortable!) sofa’s set in just the right places! We love working within a well thought out venue, it makes such a difference to have furniture positioned in photography friendly locations!
If all of this wasn’t enough, Heckfield Place also offers a generously sized marquee, located on the Italian terrace close to the Manor House itself!
The aptly named Cedar Lake Marquee at Heckfield Place offers stunning views over both lakes and much of the surrounding gardens and woodland.
The high quality marquee is decorated tastefully including classic ivory lining and elegant details that match any choice of wedding colour themes.
During the summer months, we can think of few, more idyllic settings for a wedding!
Heckfield Place is located in Hook, Hampshire, between Basingstoke and Reading with great access from either the M4 or the M3. Heathrow airport is a mere 30 minutes away by car, making this a very popular wedding venue for those with relatives travelling from overseas!
