Another wedding venue that photography has taken us to in the Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire area is the beautiful and secluded Branksome Place.

This Edwardian Style country house is set amongst 32 acres of fantastic, National trust – Surrey Countryside, a favourite of many a wedding photographer and budding Brides to be!

Set mostly to traditional woodland with some lovely feature gardens, fields and even a log cabin, wedding photography at Branksome Place is one wedding venue we are always keen to provide a wedding photography service for!

Civil ceremonies can be conducted in Branksome place‘s lounge or Stirling Suite, catering for up to 150 guests and allowing you to benefit from the beautiful grounds all day long! With 60 double rooms, each with en suites and all the modern facilities you would expect from any modern De Vere venue.

Although Branksome Place is more than capable of hosting small-medium sized weddings within the house itself, much of the wedding photography we have taken at Branksome Place and indeed the weddings themselves, have actually taken place outside in the spacious and well kept gardens, surrounding woodland and fields.

It is commonplace for the sit down meal and evening entertainment to take place in the large, permanent wedding marquee. Wedding photography needs to be creative to take advantage of the unique features that a wedding marquee presents, whilst avoiding that awful trap of looking like a bunch of people in a tent!

Fortunately the wedding marquee at Branksome Place is a high quality and sturdy affair, elegantly presented with a good size, allowing it to cope comfortably with a highly variable number of wedding guests, seating up to 250 and ensuring any limitations to the seating plan are kept to a minimum!

Wedding photography in the Branksome Place marquee is therefore not as difficult as some! Of course, with our first hand experience of the venue, the challenges are significantly reduced, allowing us to focus our creative spirit on capturing the mood and feeling of the day rather than searching for the best angles or locations to take our wedding photographs.

As you can imagine, with 32 acres of surrounding land, the best wedding photo spots are not necessarily obvious when visiting the venue or walking the grounds. You will however be pleased to know, that we have found plenty of different and imaginative locations to allow us to capture some really beautiful wedding photos only a short 2-3minute walk from the main house. As, in our experience, weddings rarely run exactly to time, this makes everybody’s life much easier! The wedding couple don’t want to be away from your wedding guests for longer than is necessary, the bride will not want to traipse through the woods in her hugely expensive and train bearing dress, nor her fantastically expensive and incredibly uncomfortable (usually!) wedding shoes!

An experienced wedding photographer with wedding venues such as Branksome Place really pays dividends when trying to make sure you are able to quickly and comfortably capture amazing wedding photographs and promptly get you back to enjoying the company of your friends and family!
