Although well established as a specialist wedding venue, Trunkwell House is actually steeped in history and dates right back to 1190! The main house was rebuilt in 1878 and eventually converted from family home to Hotel following the Second World War.

The marquee is situated to the rear of the House & is something very special indeed.
The large size provides a very flexible space, which allows it to cater to weddings large and small whilst retaining an intimate feel. It enjoys a real talking point with its beautiful star curtain which provides a magical backdrop to any wedding ceremony.

With up to 200 guests seated for the ceremony, the permanent marquee here actually offers one of the largest capacity civil ceremony venues in the area, but this can actually be expanded further with the addition of a second marquee. With the additional marquee in place, it is possible to hold up to 1000 guests!

Trunkwell Mansion House was the wedding venue of choice for Leanne and Richard who were married yesterday.

It was a really nice family occasion, with Leanne & Richard’s children playing a central part in the day too!

Leanne looked amazing in her wedding dress and with 14 years of history with her childhood sweetheart, it was clear to see that they were as close as any couple we’ve met, still very much in love!

The ceremony took place in the absolutely stunning Trunkwell House marquee, a permanent fixture with beautiful star ceiling and chandeliers. The atmosphere was incredible.

Despite the unfavorable weather forecasts, we were fortunate enough to be treated to a dry day with more sun than anybody could have expected. This allowed us to make full use of the beautiful Trunkwell Mansion House garden area. Should the weather have not been so kind, the couple needn’t have worried as Trunkwell House itself presents plenty of photographic opportunities both in the main house and the marquee itself.

The staff at Trunkwell House were absolutely brilliant and really helped to ensure that Leanne & Richard’s big day went smoothly.
