Pre-Wedding Photography | Chris & Sarah

March 25th, 2012

Yesterday we were out in the sun, photographing a pre-wedding shoot for the lovely Sarah & Chris who are getting married next year at the stunning Marwell Hall

They were an absolute pleasure to photograph, totally natural together and really enjoyed themselves, just what we like to see!

Chris & Sarah had brought a nice little chalk board with them which had the date of their wedding on, as they intend to use a photo from the pre-wedding shoot for their save the date invitations!
We thought this was a nice touch, so we had some laughs together as we tried a few creative ideas out!

We are really looking forward to their wedding next year!

Here are a few photos from their shoot…

Marwell Hall Wedding Photography at Marwell Wildlife

August 10th, 2010

Marwell Hall, a grade I listed hall located in the centre of  Marwell Wildlife  in Winchester, Hampshire is available to hire as a wedding venue.
And what a wedding venue Marwell Hall is!

Situated at the heart of the Wildlife Park, Marwell Hall stands proud within its generous grounds and provides a dramatic welcome with its large driveway.

Arriving at the venue is something of a highlight in itself as the Park will often provide you with transport in the shape of their land train! So (if you’d like) you can be driven through the zoo grounds, passed smiling and waving on-lookers feeling very special indeed!

There’s nothing quite as special however as the chance to feed some of the zoo’s animals as part of your wedding day schedule! With your family and friends looking on in amazement you can feed your choice of animal, with options including the Giraffe’s and Lemurs (as pictured below!).
As talking points and wedding highlights go, epecially if you love animals, this has got to be right up there! It’s definately a unique benefit for choosing Marwell Hall as your wedding venue! Of course this is totally opitional, you dont have to risk that beautiful wedding dress if you don’t want to… but hey, you don’t get many chances like this!

Marwell Hall is a fully licenced venue to hold civil ceremonies and has a choice of three stunning rooms that can be hired for your wedding, the Seymour Library, The Long Room and the Woodlock Room. This allows them to cater effectively for groups of varying sizes as the rooms have capacities varying from 40 people for smaller intimate weddings up to 80 guests seated for larger functions.
All of the rooms are full of character and brimming with history! There are so many different photographic opportunities both inside and around Marwell Hall, you will be able to have amazing photos no matter what the British weather throws at you!

It is very rumoured that Henry VIII visited Marwell and held a private marriage ceremony at Marwell Hall and the nearby Owslebury Church! So you’ll be in (arguably!) good company if you get married here!

The lawn to the rear of the Mansion House is perfect for a Marquee if you wanted to enjoy drinks and perhaps a BBQ at the end of your special day!

Speaking of food, the quality and sheer variety at Marwell Hall is excellent. A variety of mouth-watering menus are on offer, ranging from the unashamedly basic to exquisite hot courses or buffet style meals.

The venue are happy to organise illustrated talks or a guided tour of Marwell for you and your guests which can be worked into your timings for your special day!
A little friendly competition can also be arranged if you wanted some additional entertainment!

Overall Marwell Hall definately offers plenty of unique options for a wedding venue in Hampshire! As well as being a truly beautiful setting for any wedding, it has character by the bucket load and is sure to be a real hit with friends, family and animal lovers young and old!

Wedding at Marwell Hall in Marwell Zoo

Andy & Helen’s Marwell Hall Wedding

September 13th, 2009

Congratulations to Andy and Helen for their beautiful wedding at Marwell Hall yesterday.

The wedding was a relaxed affair with a ceremony at 2.30pm.  Helen had plenty of time to get ready and looked fantastic for it!

Andy was all smiles, all day! It was clear to see that he was thrilled to bits to be marrying Helen and that they were both very much in love.

Both the registrar and toastmaster (Pav) were brilliant and helped put the couple at ease throughout the ceremony and days events.

A highlight of the day without question and a major perk of holding your wedding at Marwell Hall was the animal feeding! Andy and Helen were welcomed into the Lemur enclosure (as were we!) to hand feed the Lemurs! What a fantastic unique experience!

This lovely couple also picked a fab date to get married, the weather was amazing all day long! We wish them all the best for the future and can’t help but be a little jealous of their Honeymoon in the Maldives! We hope they have an amazing time!

Here is a sneak peak at some photo’s from their big day!
